How to publish aXmag on my website?

As you've got the "Conversion completed" page now, congratulations, your publication is ready to be put online.
Using the desktop converter, please click the "open folder" button to locate the output files.
Where is the "open folder" button?
The "Open folder" button is right on the "Conversion completed" window when aXmag finishes converting a PDF file. When the button is clicked, it will locate the output folder and show you all the created files.

If you've closed the "Conversion completed" window but forgot to open the output folder, please go to the same directory where your PDF stores to find the output folder of the new created aXmag eBook. As from the image below, you will find that in the first step, you choose a PDF file to be converted, aXmag automatically assigned the output folder for storing the created files. The default output folder will be in the same directory with the PDF file, besides the folder name is the same as the PDF file name.

Using the conversion service, you've already downloaded the zip file, now please unzip it to make all the files ready to go.
What is the zip file?
When a PDF is converted to the online eBook using aXmag online service, the conversion succeed page will show you the operations that you could do with the current eBook. Please check the status of the uploaded item, if it shows "paid" as in the image below, and then it means that you can download the converted files to your local machine and host the files on your server. Click the "download" link to get a "media.zip" to your local drive. Please assign the save as location for the media.zip file on your local disk to make sure that you can find the downloaded file later when it is finished.

If you closed the conversion succeed page but forgot to download the zip file, you may go to aXmag website again and log in to your account to view all your uploaded files and download the media.zip file.

That's as easy as 1 – 2 – 3, please find steps as follows:

  1. Upload all files/folders to your server

Please use an FTP client or Web File Manager to upload all the created files and folders to your web server, or you may ask your web master for help to upload all these files.

(If you are using WordPress or similar sites that won't allow you to upload all files and folders, please click here and see how to take advantage of aXmag online service to let us host files on behalf of you.)

  2. Compose a URL that links to the "index.html" you recently uploaded

When the files and folders are uploaded to your server, make sure that all the files and folders can be accessed from a URL. For example, http://yourdomain.com/publication_stored_folder/index.html. Please enter this URL in your browser to check if your eBook can be viewed.

If it presents the eBook background but without showing the flipping pages, please try to open the URL for setting.xml (http://yourdomain.com/publication_stored_folder/flash/data/setting.xml) and see if there is anything wrong with the file. In most cases, you may try to edit the setting.xml file in Notepad and save to UTF-8 encoding which would solve the issue.

If it returns "404 not found" or similar, then there must be something wrong with file location you’ve copied to, or something wrong with the composed URL. You may need to ask your server administrator for more information where you should store the newly added contents on your server.

Contact your web master if you are not sure how to get the URL for the index.html file.
  3. Publish on your site

    Post aXmag eBook directly

Since the URL of index.html is alive now, the aXmag eBook is already posted online.
You may distribute this link to others now, and anyone who receives this URL can view the eBook no matter if it is visited from a desktop computer or a mobile device:
      http://yourdomain.com/publication_stored_folder/index.html

Insert aXmag eBook cover thumbnail on your site to open the eBook

Please just copy and paste the following code to your webpage:
